This weird wearable charger can refuel your AirPods Pro as you use them

A variety of third-party accessories are available for the Apple AirPods and AirPods Pro, including a small briefcase-like leather pouch; the PodChain Pro may be the most ambitious to date. It is a wearable charger that allows users to replenish the battery while wearing the earphones.

Created by plush accessory maker M.Craftsman, the PodChain Pro looks dubious at first: it's wired for the best wireless earbuds, regardless of whether you use them with AirPods or AirPods Pro. However, it does address the central problem with using the included charging case, which requires docking the AirPods to charge, so you can't continue listening when the charge is full.

PodChain Pro instead connects the neck-mounted power bank to the AirPods or AirPods Pro with a braided cable; once the AirPods are charged, the cable can be removed at any time.

The earbuds are magnetically hooked to a small charging sheath that slips over the stem of the earbuds, so the cable can simply be pulled away and removed.

M. Craftsman's presentation material also talks about the added benefit of the wire, which makes it harder to lose the AirPods. But what makes the PodChain Pro a unique and attractive proposition is its ability to charge without interrupting music. The power bank can fully charge both AirPods or AirPods Pro three times for up to 16 hours of non-stop playback. Much more practical than a miniature briefcase. [The PodChain Pro is not yet available and will "launch" on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo on February 23; M.Craftsman is confident that it will be fully funded, as it has already set the suggested retail price at $69.
