The 2016 reboot of Ratchet & Clank will receive an update for PS5 in April that will allow the game to run at 60 FPS on next-generation consoles. The update is currently available for free for PS4 and PS5 owners, so download it now to be in time for the update. [According to Insomniac Games' Twitter account, Ratchet & Clank "will also be playable at 60 FPS on PS5 with the April update!" [Insomniac Games This patch comes just a few months before the release of Ratchet & Clank: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which will be released this June. The title will be the franchise's first PS5-exclusive title, announced last year.

"Ratchet & Clank" will be available for free download to anyone, not just players with a PS Plus membership. The campaign is part of Sony's "Play at Home" initiative, which allows everyone to get the popular title for free to help stave off cabin fever while everyone is stuck at home during the pandemic. [For the March 2021 PS Plus free games, you have until April 6 to add them to your library. This month includes Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant, Beyond the Ashes, Maquette, and Blue Thunderbolt Gun Gale: From the Ashes, Maquette, and Farpoint.

Notably, FF7 Remake is scheduled for a PS5 update this June along with paid DLC. The free version of the game is not eligible for the PS5 patch, and the DLC is PS5-only, so if you plan to play the game and get the additional content, you will need to purchase a copy now or later.
