How to Gameshare on Ps4

Sharing games used to be as simple as handing over a disc. With the advent of digital downloads, game sharing has become a bit more complicated, but the practice still remains. In fact, game sharing on the PS4 is very simple. In just a few steps, you can grant friends access to your digital library, share games, and play together using the game's online features. Here is how to set it up.

This guide assumes that you are sharing games from your PS4, rather than accessing your friends' games.

Make sure you are signed in to your PSN account on your PS4.

This is located on the home screen.

Next, on the PS4 you want to game share with, change your profile, select New User, and sign in to your PSN account.

Repeat the above process, this time selecting "Activate" on your friend's PS4.

When you access the library on your friend's PS4, you should see all the games available for download under "Purchased".

If for some reason they do not appear, go back to your account management, select "Restore License" and wait a few minutes and the problem should be resolved.

Now, if a friend is trying to share a game with you, the process is exactly the same. Just have your friend follow the above steps before signing into your PSN account on your PS4.

Another interesting thing to note is that the primary user's PS Plus membership is shared with all other users on that PS4. This means that as long as you have a PS Plus membership, you can sign back into your friends' PS4™ profiles and still enjoy the online features of multiplayer games.

One final point to note is that by deactivating your PS4™ as your primary PS4™, you will no longer be able to access or download games in your PS4™ library from any user profile other than your own PS4™. However, you will still have full access to your profile. Note that you can only designate one system as the primary PS4 for your account at any given time.

If you wish to undo this process, sign into your account on your friend's console and deactivate it as your primary PS4. Then sign in to your account on your PS4 and activate it as your PS4 and you are done.

Finally, this process does not allow you to share games that you physically own. If a friend wants to play a game you have on disc, you will have to share that game the old-fashioned way.
