Nothing Ear 1 Wireless earbuds have come sooner than we thought

London-based tech startup Nothing, founded by OnePlus founder Carl Pei, has revealed details of its first product, the Nothing Ear 1 wireless earphones.

Nothing's blog post does not fully reveal the design of the Ear 1, only what appears to be a stylized silhouette.

"While the design is still a top secret, the Ear 1 combines transparency, iconic form, and sleek functionality. It is the starting point that defines the artistry, confidence, and craftsmanship that will underpin our products and services for years to come."

While the "stripped-down aesthetic" of the earphones may not have been unveiled, it is hard not to notice that the teaser images do not resemble the prototype of Nothing's Concept 1 earphones, which were announced earlier this year. concept 1's transparent housing It's a bit of a shame, as the body and small stems would have made for a unique look.

The shape of the teaser image is truly puzzling, but Ear 1 may yet offer a very distinctive design. With pill-like proportions and a circular inset, the uppermost part looks like Sony's WF-1000XM3 earphones, with a very long stem or boom-arm microphone protruding from the underside. Or perhaps this silhouette is just the inside of the earphones, which could be housed in a more conventional earphone enclosure.

With a June release date, it won't be long, but we will have to wait and see. It will also be interesting to see if the Ear 1 will include high-end features like active noise cancellation (ANC) or some kind of spatial audio to compete with the Sony WF-1000XM4 and the upcoming AirPods 3.

If nothing else, Pay's post also mentions a "sequel," and it seems that Nothing's first set of truly wireless earbuds is already not the last.
