LG's rollable phone is officially dead, with the final units sold only to employees as the phone business closes, but the company is still experimenting with flexible displays in the most novel ways.

Cue Dezeen and LG Display's OLEDs Go! competition. The competition challenges entrants to design an OLED screen that demonstrates the key qualities of the technology, including flexibility, thinness, and versatility. One of its finalists, Korea-based designer Doyeon Shin, completed a breathtaking OLED TV design that resembles a national flag

This flag does not flutter in the wind. Instead, the screen unfolds from its decorative base to reveal the OLED in all its glory, and Shin's design, called Flag.R, is a sight to behold as he attempts to fend off four other pioneering rivals for a share of a prize pot worth €46,000.

Design-wise, the flag is rolled out of a "faceted cylinder" and placed on a pole, which is secured to a wooden base. The base, covered with wood panels, can be customized in a variety of colors according to taste.

Rollable technology is likely to be an important player in the future of television technology due to its space-saving features.

The screen appears to be easy to operate.

The screen automatically extends to become a TV and retracts fully again to function as a speaker.

Singh manages to keep things simple and compact by visually distinguishing between the TV and the speakers. track listings, lyrics, and other information about the song.
