PS5 restocks were scarce this month. But here's a friendly reminder that no matter how scarce the console may be, always buy from a retailer and avoid third-party resellers at all costs. Third-party resellers often drive up the price of the PS5 to laughable levels.

At Walmart, third-party reseller Nationwide Distributor (81% favorable rating) is selling a PS5 console for $1,077. This is a price that surpasses the $1,059 PS5 console seen on Newegg not long ago. Needless to say, I would not recommend paying this much for a Sony console.

Yes, we all want a new PS5, but to overpay so much is ridiculous. Also, other third party resellers will follow suit. To be fair, third-party sellers are allowed to sell at other major retailers like Amazon and Newegg. However, shoppers should absolutely avoid these resellers.
