PS5 Replenishment Sold Out with Best Buy — Where to Expect Next Inventory

Update: Best Buy is now sold out of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Please check back for updates on the restocking of the PS5 and the Xbox Series X.

There is currently a massive restocking going on at Best Buy. What was originally only a restock of the Xbox Series X is now restocking the PS5 as well; BestBuy's inventory can be found at the link below.

The "Sold Out" button for the Xbox Series X is currently showing.

As with most retailers, pre-setting up a Best Buy account is a top priority. Make sure your payment details and address information are saved in advance to save valuable time at checkout. This could be the difference between getting the Xbox Series X and buying it outright.

It should also be noted that Best Buy does not currently offer delivery of Xbox consoles. The order process is done online, but you must choose to pick it up in-store. Therefore, if there is no Best Buy near you or you are unable to visit your local store, Best Buy may not be your Xbox retailer.

When restocking takes place, refresh the product page until you see either a yellow "Add to Cart" button or a gray "Please Wait" button. If the latter appears, do not refresh and wait for the button to change to a yellow "Add to Cart" button.

Once you are able to add the item to your cart, you may see a message that the Xbox Series X is no longer in stock. If so, you will need to change to a location where it is in stock. Open a new page and repeat the process above until the "Add to Cart" button reappears.

Best Buy, like other retailers, releases Xbox Series X inventory on a rolling basis, so even if the Xbox Series X is marked as sold out on their site when it is restocked, you may have another chance to get your Xbox. Investing time in this process may pay off, as others may give up and lose patience.

Retailers will also ask for the code provided during the purchase process. Always opt for text, as it is sent almost instantly; with email, the code may take longer to arrive or get caught in spam filters.
