Battlefield 6 revealed officially confirmed - get ready for the 9th month

EA has announced that Battlefield 6 will be unveiled on June 9. The reveal event will take place at 7 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. ET, and 3 p.m. BST.

Battlefield's Twitter account tweeted the reveal along with a small clip showing information being formed in what can best be described as blue static light. This could be taken as an indication that "Battlefield 6" will indeed be set in the present day or the near future.

Given the amount of recent leaks regarding Battlefield 6, it is not surprising that an official announcement is imminent.

From what we know so far, the game will be cross-generational, covering PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5, with enhancements for the new Microsoft and Sony consoles. Developer Dice emphasizes that Battlefield 6 is designed to be a "true next-gen experience" regardless of its cross-generational ambitions.

It is also possible that the game will be playable before its official release, as an alpha version is reportedly planned for July. Speaking of which, multiplayer matches will support 128 players per online game, making the 64-player maximum even larger.

The videos and screenshots so far show glimpses of possible tropical locations and near-future settings on at least one map.

Given that it will be released next week, "Battlefield 6" is sure to arrive this year, possibly during the holiday season. That gives you time to look for PS5 restocks and Xbox Series X restocks to enjoy the best versions of the game on consoles; if a PC is not your platform of choice, check out our Best Gaming PC list if you need a new gaming rig.
