The launch of the Beats Studio Buds appears to be approaching. Earlier this week, the truly wireless earbuds appeared in regulatory documents in Taiwan, and now leaker Jon Prosser is claiming pricing and launch information.

Prosser, who has a mixed track record on rumors, claims at FrontPageTech that the Beats Studio Buds will be "announced soon," priced at $149.99 and available in red, black, and white. beats Studio Buds will reportedly be available on July 21 and will be announced via press release.

They do not offer active noise cancellation, but it is not clear whether the Beats Studio Buds will also offer this feature.

Indeed, the specifications of the Beats Studio Buds are not well known, but regulatory documents mention interchangeable chips and USB-C charging. The latter is interesting given that Beats' last truly wireless earbuds, the PowerBeats Pro, used Apple's own Lightning cable for charging. This may be a sign that Apple considers the AirPods to be a product for people with iPhones, while it considers Beats to be a way to reach those who prefer the best Android phones.

According to Prosser's sources, the Beats Studio Buds are more likely to appear via press release at launch, rather than as part of a larger event, which makes an impending reveal more likely.
