Henderson's leak follows EA's official confirmation that it will be a "love letter to Battlefield fans" with the release of the "Second Experience of Battlefield 2042" on July 22.

As such, the mode, which is reminiscent of classic Battlefield maps, vehicles, and weapons, seems to fit the brief of bringing "a whole new game type that even long-time players will feel comfortable with."
