Both the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 4 could begin shipping on August 11. The next set of Samsung smartwatches will be pre-announced at an unconfirmed Unpacked keynote.

It was not clear if Samsung's plans for this year include a follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 and Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, but according to Front Page Tech, both next-generation models are ready for market launch

Front Page Tech's report also noted that the lifestyle-oriented Galaxy Watch 4 will come in 42mm and 46mm models, while the fitness-focused Galaxy Active Watch 4 will come in 40mm and 44mm models. In other words, the flagship Galaxy Watch could come in a larger size this year, while the latest Active version will come in the same size options as the previous model.

Last month, journalist Nils Ahrensmeier revealed the possibility of a larger Galaxy Watch 4 model; Ahrensmeier said the Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be offered in 40mm and 42mm options.

Until Samsung officially announces a new smartwatch, there is no way to know if (either) source has accurate information about the size of the Galaxy Watch Active 4. It would be irregular to offer two versions of the same wearable that differ only 2 mm in size.

It is also possible that we will not see all the alleged smartwatches this year. If the company follows its own precedent, it will announce one version, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch Active 4, along with several smartphones during an official press event.

However, Front Page Tech reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will launch on August 27, a few weeks later than the proposed Galaxy Watch release date. The company may stagger the announcements, just as Apple split its annual iPhone-led keynote from the Apple Watch 6 launch.

As spotted by Android Authority, the device appears to be an LTE version of Samsung's upcoming smartwatch.

The listing also shares a short list of specs: in addition to LTE bands, the Galaxy Watch also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, GNSS, and Bluetooth. Also listed is a feature called "audio playback," which likely refers to built-in storage for music and other downloadable audio content.

As for battery and charging, the battery capacity of the device SM-R885 is rated at 240mAh, and the battery supports wireless charging. These specs are the same as the Galaxy Watch 3, but we don't know much about battery life; we can expect similar battery performance, unless the Wear OS software, which will be integrated with Tizen, promises improved efficiency.
