LG's OLED panels are the most fully featured, and the LG CX is the best TV out there; it can display 4K content at 120Hz using its four HDMI 2.1 ports, but this drops to 60Hz when Dolby Vision is enabled.

However, this problem does not appear to last long, as one user on AVSforum reports that thanks to a beta firmware update, the LG G1 OLED TV now supports 4K Dolby Vision at 120Hz.

"Dolby Vision has been updated from 27.12 to 27.13 and now supports 4K120 DV.

This is especially good news for Xbox Series X owners with 2021 LG OLED TVs. The Series X currently only supports 4K@120Hz with HDR10 content, but according to Microsoft, Dolby Vision will soon get the same treatment, and Xbox Insider testers in the invite-only alpha ring can already take advantage of this feature.

However, it is unknown when this will be available on older LG OLED TVs. when flatpanelshd asked about plans to support Dolby Vision at 120Hz, LG was careful to mention only the current generation. Still, this remains a win for LG, given that Sony declined to comment and Panasonic has clarified that neither its 2021 models nor earlier models will feature Dolby Vision 120Hz "due to hardware limitations."
