Sony's OLED TV Deal Wins Prime Day - and it's still off the still600

Want the best deal on Prime Day? It's not a cheap Roku TV or an Amazon-powered Smart TV, but a 55-inch Sony A8H OLED. This is a significant savings against one of the best OLED TVs on the market and a killer deal you don't want to miss.

The 55-inch model, with a regular retail price of $1,899, is now available for roughly a third of the price, and at $1,298, this is the lowest price Sony has ever seen. This is cheaper than the Super Bowl sale, cheaper than the Christmas sale, and cheaper than Black Friday.

Our review of the Sony A8H OLED praised its beautiful 4K image, impressive motion smoothing, and rich smart home compatibility; the A8H's colors are excellent (over 100% of Rec 709 color space), accuracy is superb (Delta-E average of 1.54, an ), and it reproduces jet blacks in a way that ordinary LCD TVs simply cannot match.

However, this alone does not convey just how good this set is. Reviewer Kate Kozuch says that the Sony Bravia OLED literally ruined all other TVs for her, explaining that even after sending the review unit back to Sony, she was not satisfied with a more conventional TV.

In her words, "Don't buy the Sony Bravia A8H OLED unless you are prepared to be dissatisfied with every other TV you have."

We recently removed this Sony from our Best TVs page because of the new 2021 model, but it still remains one of the best OLED TVs we've ever reviewed. Also, the fact that Amazon is selling it for a whopping $1,298 means that now is a great time to buy the Bravia A8H.
