While many rumors have been floating around lately about Samsung's Galaxy Buds 2, a new rumor that it will feature active noise cancellation has been making the rounds on the Internet.

According to Twitter leaker Ice Universe, he posted a screenshot of the earphones' companion app on Twitter.

We do not know if this screenshot is legitimate. However, Ice Universe has a pretty good track record with Samsung, and it makes sense that the Galaxy Buds 2 would offer ANC.

After all, the Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Buds Pro offer active noise cancellation, so if the Galaxy Buds 2 does not offer ANC, it could be perceived as a backward product. Ice Universe itself has suggested this possibility in the past.

Of course, there is no official confirmation from Samsung in any case, and until the Galaxy Buds 2 is officially announced by Samsung, it is unlikely. The current rumor is that this will be announced at the Unpacked event on August 11, along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, we are skeptical of this report, given that the Galaxy Buds 2, which will replace Samsung's entry-level earphones, will be more expensive than the Galaxy Buds Pro. This pricing does not make sense, even considering the addition of ANC.
