PS5 Replenishment Sold Out at Best Buy - Where to Find your Next Inventory

Update: Best Buy has sold out of PS5 consoles, check the PS5 Restock Tracker for the latest console inventory information.

Best Buy is currently restocking the PS5. The retailer is selling the disc-based PS5 for $499 and the PS5 Digital for $399.

A Tuesday PS5 restock is quite unusual for Best Buy. The store tends to restock on Thursdays or Fridays. However, the restocking universe is changing, with retailers offering PS5 consoles as soon as they are ready.

As with most retailers, setting up a Best Buy account in advance is a top priority. Make sure your payment details and address information are saved in advance, saving you valuable time at checkout.

It should also be noted that Best Buy does not currently offer delivery of PS5 consoles. The order process is done online, but you must choose to pick it up in-store. Therefore, if there is no Best Buy near you or you are unable to visit your local store, Best Buy may not be your PS5 retailer.

YouTube inventory tracker Jake Randall actually shows the best process for checking out with a PS5 at Best Buy. Refresh the product page until you see either a yellow "Add to Cart" button or a gray "Please Wait" button if there is a restock. If the latter appears, do not refresh and wait for the button to change to a yellow "Add to Cart" button.

Once you are able to add the item to your cart, you may see a message that the PS5 is no longer in stock. If this is the case, you will need to change to where the system is stocked. Landor recommends that if PS5 is showing as out of stock anywhere, leave the page as it is and open a new page. Repeat the above process until the "Add to Cart" button reappears, then go back to the original page you opened and select the location again.

Best Buy, like other retailers, releases PS5 inventory on a rolling basis, so even if the PS5 is shown as sold out on their site when it is restocked, you may have another chance to get it. Spending time on this process may pay off, as others may give up and lose patience.

Retailers will also ask you to enter the code provided during the purchase process. Always opt for text, as it is sent almost instantly; with email, the code may take longer to arrive or get caught in spam filters.
