Samsung Galaxy S21FE full specs leaked on regulatory list

Samsung Galaxy S21FE full specs leaked on regulatory list

Update: Full specs for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE appear to have been newly leaked

We've heard several rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE might be coming later this year, but so far we haven't heard much about what the phone will offer

Now, as we get closer to the estimated launch date, a number of rumors are finally coming to light If the rumors are true, this could be an exciting package

Not only have we now got a full list of rumored specs, but we also have some official-looking (though unconfirmed) renderings to us of what the phone might look like Here's what we got

According to the TENAA listing, the Galaxy S21 FE will have a 64-inch display and will measure 1557 x 745 x 79 mm This means that it will be between the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21 Plus in terms of size For reference, the standard Galaxy S21 has a 62" display and measures 1517 x 712 x 79 mm; the Galaxy S21 Plus has a 67" display and measures 1615 x 756 x 78 mm

The TENAA listing also seems to confirm that the phone weighs 176g, has a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 4,370 mAh battery, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage Interestingly, the listing also claims that the phone will support microSD card expansion up to 256GB

The Galaxy S21 FE is said to feature a triple-lens rear setup with 32MP, 12MP, and 8MP lenses, which seems to be a slight compromise on the camera; the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus are said to have a 64MP telephoto lens, 12MP wide-angle lens and ultra wide-angle lens It is not clear which lens is which, although it would not be surprising if Samsung followed the same convention with other Galaxy S21 phones

Nevertheless, the Galaxy S21 FE is said to feature an enhanced selfie camera, like last year's Galaxy S20 FE The phone will reportedly have a 12MP front lens, which will be smaller than last year's 32MP front shooter, but will still have a higher resolution than the 10MP front camera on the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus

The TENAA listing includes an under-display fingerprint sensor, Android 11 software, 5G, and dual-SIM support, none of which are particularly surprising

It is not surprising that these renderings show a phone that closely resembles the original Samsung Galaxy S21 After all, if the Galaxy S21 FE is anything like the Galaxy S20 FE, it is going to be an almost identical phone, albeit with some compromises that will help lower the price

The renderings themselves are by longtime phone leaker Evan Blass, who has a track record for accurate and legitimate leaks However, these have not yet been verified, and these GIFs should be viewed with a skeptical eye

In any case, Blass posted four 360-degree renderings of the phone, showing off a range of bright colors including green, lilac, white, and black Not as many choices as the polarizing Galaxy S20 FE we saw last year

If the rendering is accurate, it appears that the metal contour-cut edges of the Galaxy S21 may have been replaced by plastic units, although it is difficult to tell from the image

The rendered images are not a big surprise, as the Galaxy S21 FE is expected to look quite similar to its more expensive stablemate, but what is really interesting are the specs These have reportedly been posted on TENAA, China's equivalent of the FCC (via MyFixGuide)

The Galaxy S21 FE name is not used, but the model number SM-G9900 in the listing matches the one used for the Galaxy S21 (SM-G991) The listed specifications also indicate that the phone listed in TENAA is a scaled-down version of the Galaxy S21

The regulator's list is much more reliable than the usual rumors, but this is all still unverified, so take this information with a grain of salt The only question is when this phone will be released

Currently, there are rumors that Samsung will hold an Unpacked event on August 11 to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 (and Flip 3 Lite), and Galaxy Watch 4 The S20 FE, in particular, will be announced independently, and earlier rumors suggested it could be announced on August 19
