OnePlus takes wireless earbuds even further with the OnePlus Buds Pro, which will feature both adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) and Warp Charge, the fast charging technology used in the OnePlus 9.

Kinder Liu, OnePlus' vice president of research and development, told CNET that the OnePlus Buds Pro is a "true flagship-level wireless audio device" with "best-in-class features" designed to compete with the best wireless earphones

Unlike the AirPods Pro's standard ANC, Adaptive ANC can dynamically adjust how much sound needs to be blocked depending on how loud the ambient noise is; the Buds Pro can adjust its noise-canceling frequency to remove 15 to 40 decibels of noise It appears to be able to do this.

Liu also states that the noise-canceling feature allows the Buds Pro to last up to 28 hours with repeated use of the charging case. Still, this exceeds the 24-hour limit of the AirPods Pro. The company also states that with ANC turned off, the Buds Pro can extend to 38 hours.

As for the battery, the case supports both wireless charging (via a Qi-enabled pad) and Warp Charge, a fast charging protocol common in OnePlus phones since the OnePlus 7T. Allegedly, simply feeding the charging case with a wired connection for 10 minutes provides 10 hours of uptime, and unlike the OnePlus phones that have such a requirement, no specific Warp Charge power adapter or USB cable is needed.

There is no information yet on pricing or availability of the Buds Pro, not even a picture of what the earbuds will look like. However, despite Liu's interview, OnePlus has yet to officially reveal it. Apparently, a joint launch of the OnePlus Buds Pro and OnePlus Nord 2 will take place on July 22.
