It is now also a venue for major stars to hold virtual concerts. It has also become a repository for various film, television, and popular culture tie-ins and character skins.

Rainbow Royale to Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Community in Fortnite

To celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community present in Fortnite, the game will feature a Rainbow Royal this week.

Four different colorful "sprays," a "Sunshine & Rainbows" rap, and a "take a'bow" emote will be available. Additionally, for the first time, an LGBTQIA+ artist will be featured on the "Battle Royale" soundtrack.

July 13: LeBron James Skin Comes to Fortnite

NBA legend LeBron James is coming to Fortnite as a playable character. The second is a look at him in his new Tune Squad livery to coincide with the upcoming movie Space Jam. And the third skin wears shorts and a taco T-shirt, reminiscent of the Taco Tuesday Instagram post that went viral a few years ago.

July 8: Alien Nights Invade Fortnite

Following the alien Fortnite invasion of Season 7, Alien Nights will appear in the July 6 hotfix, giving the finder of this rare in-game item a railgun and pulse rifle-like The Alien Nite will give the discoverer of this rare in-game item the means to create alien weapons like railguns and pulse rifles.

Additionally, it can be used to disrupt Fortnite's physics: "With the latest alien invention to be discovered, the Alien Nanite, you can recreate the atmosphere of the alien home planet. If you throw in alien nanites, you can create a low-gravity biome from which you can enter and exit. Since it is as thick as gelatin (their planet is probably super wet), when they jump, they will practically start swimming. To get down faster in this biome, try squatting. Also, jumping from a high place will not hurt you.

Furthermore, the once quiet Holly Hedges location does not host an alien biome with vegetation crawling over structures.

July 29: Loki lands in Fortnite in July

Following the TV series debut of Loki, Fortnite will add Tom Hiddleston's version of the God of Mischief as a playable character in July.

Fortnite fans, however, will not: Loki will not be sold in the regular item store. Instead, he will only be available to "Fortnite Crew" subscribers.

For those who don't know, Fortnite Crew is a $12/month service that gives subscribers access to exclusive items, V-bucks, and this season's Fortnite Battle Pass. This means that no Loki skins are offered to non-crew members.

Finding a platform to play "Fortnite" is easy, as it is available on most modern consoles, cell phones, and tablets. [Fortnite] can be downloaded and played for free on both PC and Android; on PC, it is available from the Epic Games Store (if you don't have the Epic Games launcher, it's probably best to download it first), and on Android Just go to the Google Play Store.

Fortnite can also be played on PS5, PS4 Pro, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S (Fortnite is optimized for Microsoft's new consoles), Xbox One X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch It can be downloaded for free from the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop.

PSN login is required for PlayStation consoles. The Xbox console also requires an Xbox Live Gold membership, which is included in Xbox Game Pass.

On the Nintendo Switch, Fortnite can be found on the Nintendo Store. However, it requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription starting at $3.99 per month.

Fortnite could be played on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, but a battle between Apple and Epic over app transaction policies resulted in Fortnite being removed from the App Store.

You can download Fortnite on macOS if you get it from Epic Games' website. However, in that case, you will have to put up with an older version of Fortnite that Epic no longer updates. Also, you will not be able to use the cross-platform games that the latest version of Fortnite supports. Therefore, it seems best to avoid Fortnite on the Mac for the time being.
