With the official launch of Samsung's Galaxy Buds 2 just a few days away, rumors about these wireless earbuds are growing. Recently, Amazon France seems to have posted the price and release date of the Galaxy Buds 2 a bit early.

Twitter leaker SnoopyTech posted a screenshot of what is purported to be an Amazon listing, which is not currently displayed on the retailer's French site.The Galaxy Buds 2 is priced at 149 euros (about $175) and the ear phones are listed as being available on August 27.

While we must take the usual skeptical approach, as there is no live Amazon listing to confirm this, SnoopyTech has previously shared what appears to be specs for the Galaxy Buds 2, which have since been corroborated by what appears to be an early unboxing video.

The price of €149 is also about what we would expect from the Galaxy Buds 2, given that it is a middle ground between the simple Samsung Galaxy Buds and the advanced Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. The latter is one of the best noise-canceling earphones and is available in Europe for €230 and in the US for $199.

If the listed release dates are accurate, there will likely be a delay of several weeks between the official announcement and widespread availability. As of now, the Galaxy Buds 2 may be announced at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11, along with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Fold Flip 3, and Galaxy Watch 4.

The Amazon listing also includes various spec details, most of which are consistent with previous rumors and apparent leaks. From the inclusion of active noise cancellation to the dual-speaker design to the four color variations: graphite (black), white, olive, and lavender.

Battery life is said to be 5 hours, with an additional 15 hours of runtime with the case attached. Previous leaks have indicated that the battery life of the Galaxy Buds 2 is 5 hours with ANC playback, while the charging case capacity has been variously reported at 13 hours with ANC playback and 20 hours with ANC playback. This detail may need to be confirmed by Galaxy Unpacked.

In any case, it would make sense for Samsung to make a replacement for the Galaxy Buds Pro to balance features more evenly at an affordable price point: the Beats Studio Buds are $149, the Nothing Ear (1) is $99 with ANC and there are reports that the AirPods 3 will adopt the features of the AirPods Pro.
