Halo Infinite Xbox Series X limited edition is gorgeous and pre-order now

At Gamescom 2021, Microsoft announced some significant news regarding Halo Infinite.

In a press release, Microsoft stated that the limited edition console and the Master Chief-themed Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 limited edition controller celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Halo series. As such, both will be released on November 15, the same day Halo was released in 2001.

Given the high demand for the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it is likely that this "Halo Infinite" limited edition will be hard to find at retailers. Worse yet, duffers will likely resell this system at high prices on auction sites like eBay.

Pre-orders for the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition console and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 - Halo Infinite Limited Edition are now open. The console is $549 and the controller is $199.

The console features a dark metallic panel with iridium gold accents. To us, the console appears to incorporate the Forerunner design theme. According to Microsoft, there is the same array of star patterns on the armored design that are visible from the surface of Zeta Halo. The top vents have Cortana-themed blue accents instead of the standard green. The console will also feature Halo-themed sound. The included controller follows a similar design language.

For those who already own an Xbox Series X, Microsoft will also offer an Elite Series 2 wireless controller. It has a green metallic sheen that mimics Master Chief's armor, with an iridium gold D-pad. Those who purchase this controller will also receive a Halo Elite controller-specific weapon charm to show off during multiplayer.

Third-party companies are also getting in on the "Halo Infinite" action, including Razer, which will be releasing a Halo Infinite edition Razer Kaira Pro headset with its "TriForce Titanium 50mm Drivers - patented The patented three-part design picks up every audio detail and can detect and destroy nearby enemies when playing against Banished's army.

Reviewers of the Razer Kaira Pro gave it high marks for its excellent comfort and sound, despite some Bluetooth issues.

A release date for the Razer Kaira Pro has not yet been set, but fans can get notifications on Razer's website.

Seagate will also release a pocket-sized external 5TB hard drive featuring green armor that looks like a battle suit; the Halo Infinite Special Edition Seagate Game Drive will allow users to store all games in the vast Halo universe including all games in the vast Halo universe, and can be used to store older Xbox titles.

The Halo Infinite Special Edition Seagate Game Drive will be available in October for $99 for the 2TB model and $159 for the 5TB version.
