Get ready! iPhone 13 pre-orders will open on Friday at 8:00 a.m. ET. If the latest chip shortage news makes you weak in the knees, Apple has some advice for you. Pre-register now to ensure your purchase goes as smoothly as possible on Friday.

Pre-registration does not guarantee that you will get your iPhone 13 on Friday. However, it will greatly speed up the process by eliminating the need to fill out forms. Here's what you need to do.

First, open the Apple Store application or visit Apple's website. Select the iPhone 13 you want, choose a payment method, and enter all information. Enter your preferred carrier, check to see if you are eligible for an upgrade, and complete the trade-in credit process (if you have an older iPhone, you may part with it).

If all this sounds pretty basic, that's because it is. All you have to do is pre-register so that when Friday morning rolls around at 8 a.m. ET, you can skip the hassle and head to the checkout. Similar to the advice for waiting for the next PS5 restock. Just remember that pre-registration is only open until 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
