Apple announces limited edition beat Studio3 - and it's gorgeous

Apple has unveiled its new limited edition Beats Studio3 wireless headphones in collaboration with A-COLD-WALL, a fashion brand founded by British designer Samuel Ross

The good news is that the design looks very attractive, thanks to a speckled cement finish on both the headphones and ear cushions No internal upgrades have been made, however, and the somewhat iconic Studio3 still features micro USB charging and Bluetooth 40 connectivity

In the US, the headphones are currently available at Apple's online store for $34995, but the listing still shows them as "coming soon"

From the looks of it, the new limited edition Beats Studio3 will be available in only one color option, cement gray, reflecting ACW's minimalist approach to fashion The outside of the headband will feature ACW's signature bracket logo, while the inside of the band will be covered in a clay color, contrasting with the dark exterior The fashion brand's logo is also found on the included carrying case

Unfortunately, as mentioned, the internal components have not been changed That's not to say that the Studio3 isn't worth the $349; in our review of the Beats Studio3, we were impressed with its comfortable fit, quick charging, solid bass performance, and pure active noise cancellation We were impressed

The Studio3 is powered by Apple's W1 chip for easy pairing with Apple devices It also offers up to 22 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation (ANC) enabled Also, like other Beats headphones, this pair is foldable, making it easy to take the headphones with you without taking up too much space

However, keeping current industry standards in mind, the Beats Studio3 may lag behind competitors' wireless headphones Take Sony's WH-1000XM4, for example, which we chose as our #1 best wireless headphone for good reason: unlike the Studio3, the WH-1000XM4 features USB-C charging and Bluetooth 50 connectivity The WH-1000XM4 is also the first to offer a USB-C charging and Bluetooth 50 connection It also has a battery life of 30 hours with ANC on, which is longer than the Studio3
