Now, Snapchat appears to be slowly coming back online, with users reporting that they can now send full Snapchat messages
However, our own Henry T Casey reports that Snapchat is working, although some say the service is still unstable However, Millie Davis-Williams, a UK-based staff member, reports that Snapchat messages are still not being sent
Earlier today, a number of Snapchat users reported problems with the service; Down Detector reported problems across the US and UK, and users took to Twitter to complain about being locked out of their accounts
Snapchat's support account tweeted that they were aware of the problem and confirmed that something was definitely going on However, the service is slowly resuming, which means that Snapchat was only down for a few hours
The login issue did not affect everyone, as Tom's Guide editor-in-chief Mark McLaren was able to access his account without issue However, those who were not kicked out of their accounts by the outage found themselves unable to update their apps or send messages
During the outage, people naturally took to Twitter to vent their frustrations and poke fun at the whole situation, as it is not uncommon for Snapchat to go down
Many people also worried that Snapchat would lose its streak because it was down
However, such people apparently had nothing to worry about, as Snapchat's service is now back up After all, you can keep the streak going for 24 hours
But let's hope we don't have to talk about this issue again for a while
