Players have been waiting a long time for news about PUBG: New State, the sequel to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, or PUBG for short. The game has suddenly emerged and seems to have completely taken over the gaming and streaming zeitgeist, and its mobile version, PUBG Mobile, is by far the most popular way to play.

After four years, mobile gamers will have a new playground to run around in "PUBG: New Stage," launching on iOS and Android on November 11.

Set in the year 2051, the new game is a refreshing change from the traditional PUBG formula. The original game first launched on PC in 2017, and the mobile version came to Android and iOS a year later; "PUBG Mobile" was an instant smash hit, with over 1 billion downloads and over $6 billion in sales as of August 2021. [PUBG: New State] will be released directly from PUBG Studios, the developer of the PC version of PUBG. Mobile gaming is new territory for PUBG Studios, so it will be interesting to see what a new installment in the series will look like.

KRAFTON, Inc. has confirmed that "PUBG: New State" will be released on iOS and Android on November 11, 2021. The game will be available in 200 countries and playable in 17 languages, with final technical testing taking place in 28 countries on October 29-30 to ensure everything is ready.

The trailer for "PUBG: New State" gives us a peek at what the new game will look like: the battle royale style that made "PUBG" so popular will definitely be back, and we get a peek at the new features that will be available. Of particular note are the drones that will fly overhead delivering supplies and conducting reconnaissance. We can also see defeated players being recruited by the opposing team, indicating that the game may not end immediately after they are defeated by another player.

Although PUBG was set in the present, it is clear that there was a leap in time between the events of PUBG: New State. The new game takes place 30 years later, in 2051, and while the apocalyptic atmosphere of the original remains intact, the landscape appears to be more vibrant and lush (although it may simply be the graphics that have been upgraded). Furthermore, the world's technology seems to have advanced, as evidenced by the fact that the characters in the trailer wear accessories that look like one-armed computer glasses. There is also footage of a new futuristic transportation system and a billboard projecting a hologram in the "Fall of Troy" music video.

Gunplay in PUBG: New State appears to have been upgraded, with the developers showing off the capabilities of several different guns on the game's official YouTube channel. The recoil and splash of each weapon depends on the position in which the gun is fired, such as crouching, standing, or holding the gun. Another new element is weapon customization, which allows players to adjust the weapon to their liking and change the look and behavior of the gun.

At launch, PUBG: New State will include four maps: Erangel will return from the original PUBG, and of course Troi will appear as a map. The development team promises that the game will be regularly updated with new content and hopes that New State will be as long-lasting as the original. The team also states that the game will "bring the complete and uncompromised PUBG: Battlegrounds experience to iOS and Android," which means that New State will include the game modes that PUBG Mobile lacked.
