The latest Battlefield 2042 gameplay offers a detailed look with three new maps

The latest trailer for Battlefield 2042 showcases three new launch maps. Since the majority of Battlefield 2042 gameplay offered so far has been on the Orbital map, fans will appreciate the fresh look of the three new battlefield maps.

The three maps included in the gameplay are Renewal, Breakaway, and Discarded. According to developer Dice, these maps are "designed to allow players to enjoy the verticality, close and long range combat, vehicle assaults, and dynamic destruction of the Battlefield multiplayer modes: All-Out Warfare, Battlefield Portal, and Hazard Zone. The game has been painstakingly crafted to allow players to enjoy the dynamic destruction of the All-Out Warfare, Battlefield Portal, and Hazard Zone modes.

The renewal takes place in the Egyptian desert, with a solar power plant on one side and a research facility on the other. At the center of the map is a large wall separating the two areas. The entry checkpoints on this wall will be fiercely contested in conquest battles. Players who prefer close combat will enjoy this map.

The second map is Breakaway. Set in Antarctica, this map features offshore platforms and an outlook station located above the battlefield, making it an ideal crow's nest for snipers. Players must also fight their way through icy roads and the edge of icy cliffs connected by zip lines and rope bridges.

The last map in the trailer is Discarded. On this map, players will go to India and explore flooded villages, demolished hulls, and a huge colossus ship. Melee combat is the life of the game here, but be prepared for a tornado to hit the map at any moment.

"Battlefield 2042" will feature seven large-scale maps at launch. We have now taken a closer look at four of them, and while the remaining three are still under wraps, we know they will be called Hourglass, Manifest, and Kaleidoscope. Dice promises that additional maps will be added after launch, but it looks like a good start.

Battlefield 2042 was originally scheduled to launch this week, but was delayed until November 19 last month. Thanks to the recently concluded open beta, we were able to experience the game extensively. As new information trickles in, it is definitely getting harder and harder to wait for the full game.

"Battlefield 2042" will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, with a less feature-rich version coming out on the previous generation consoles; "Call of Duty Vanguard" and "Halo Infinite" are also expected in the coming weeks, so this winter, it will face stiff competition in the online shooter arena.
