Best Buy PS5 Restocking Consumer electronics retailers are restocking the PS5 to the general public. (Totaltech membership not required.) The PS5 is $499 and the PS5 Digital is $399.

Today's restocking is in advance of the invitation-only Sony Direct PS5 restocking, which will take place today at 2pm ET. However, this Best Buy restock is open to the general public, making it a great opportunity to get your hands on the console before the holiday season.

This is the retailer's second PS5 restock this week. The first restock was contingent on being a Totaltech member. Given the $200 annual membership fee, we are pleased that Best Buy has not abandoned the open drop. If you get an order confirmation email, make sure you fully equip your new machine with the Black Friday PS5 Deals sale.

If you weren't lucky enough to get your console during this PS5 restock, don't give up hope. Restocking is becoming more and more common as the Black Friday sales season gets into full swing. This trend is likely to continue. Check the PS5 Restock Hub regularly for updates.

To be fair, Best Buy is not the only retailer to restock PS5 exclusively for members of the Premium Reward Program, but what makes the drop so severe is the cost of the Totaltech subscription: at GameStop, PowerUp Reward Pro membership to get early access to restocks of next-generation consoles, but the cost is only $15 per year.

Amazon also attempts to give Prime members priority access to PS5 restocks, but Prime membership is reasonably priced at $12.99 per month. In addition, Prime membership comes with a number of benefits, including access to the popular streaming services Prime Video and Prime Music, making it worthwhile to become a Prime member even before the PS5 restocking offer was introduced.

As with most retailers, pre-setting up a Best Buy account is a top priority. Ensure that your payment details, address, and other information is pre-stored, saving you valuable time at checkout.

Previously, Best Buy's PS5 restocking required refreshing the product page until the yellow "Add to Cart" button or gray "Please Wait" button appeared. However, Best Buy's new process puts you on a waiting list. A pop-up window will appear with a "Confirm Account" and a confirmation of inventory. You will therefore need to sign in to your account immediately.

If you find that the PS5 is no longer in stock, you can try again in the secret browser. Repeat this process until you can (hopefully) get the console.
