We're in the midst of the Black Friday sales season, and this MacBook Air M1 deal is not to be missed. We love the 2020 MacBook Air and have personally used it more often than any other laptop in the year since its release. You shouldn't wait. I don't expect this (one of the best MacBook deals) to last long.

Right now, Amazon is offering the Apple MacBook Air M1 for $799! However, this sale is in and out of stock, so check back a few times if you don't see it first. $200 is a great deal, but Amazon is a bit sneaky. At first glance it only looks like a $50 discount, but upon closer inspection it says "$149.01 off at checkout," which is a much lower price. If you need more storage space, the 512GB model is also $150 off at Amazon.

This is the latest MacBook Air, with an ultra-sharp 13" 2,560 x 1,600 pixel Retina display. The entry-level model has 8GB of RAM, Apple's 8-core M1 CPU, and a 256GB SSD, all in a slim 2.8-pound chassis.

In our review of the MacBook Air M1, we gave this model a near perfect score thanks to its excellent performance, comfortable keyboard design, HD webcam, and very long battery life. Yes, it's practically the same design as it was a few years ago, but its speed and durability are impressive.

All of this makes the MacBook Air 2020 still one of the best laptops out there. Thanks to the powerful M1 chip, the Air scored 5,962 points in the Geekbench 5.1 (Intel) multi-core test, essentially a dead heat with the M1 MacBook Pro's 5,925 points. It also significantly outperformed the ZenBook 13's 5,084 and the XPS 13's 5,319 in the equivalent Geekbench 5.2 test (both tested with Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB RAM).
