In our review of the MacBook Air M1, we gave this model a near perfect score thanks to its outstanding performance, comfortable keyboard design, HD webcam, and very long battery life. Yes, it's practically the same design as it was a few years ago, but its speed and durability are impressive.

All of this makes the MacBook Air 2020 still one of the best laptops out there. Thanks to the powerful M1 chip, the Air scored 5,962 points in the Geekbench 5.1 (Intel) multi-core test, essentially a dead heat with the M1 MacBook Pro's 5,925 points. It also significantly outperformed the ZenBook 13's 5,084 and the XPS 13's 5,319 in the equivalent Geekbench 5.2 test (both tested with Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16GB RAM).
