Apple's iMac series has always been a capable group of all-in-one desktop computers. Although they were redesigned earlier this year and added Apple's M1 chip, the older Intel-chip-equipped models are still excellent machines for work and play. That's why it's worth looking at the 2020 iMac on Amazon. This $300 price cut is the largest Amazon has ever offered this iMac, and it is only available until midnight (Eastern time).

Apple discontinued this model with the introduction of the 24" iMac in 2021, so the remaining inventory in Amazon's warehouse is limited. Unless there is some particular certainty that Amazon will drop the price again before inventory runs out, it is a good idea to jump on this deal while you can.

The version Amazon is offering is a baseline model with a 7th generation Core i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a 21.5", 1080p display all in one slim body. While not a monster in terms of specs, it should have enough power and storage capacity for light to moderate use.

The package also includes a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2, and a webcam is embedded in the top bezel of the iMac itself. Apple is not kidding when it calls this an all-in-one device. Unless you want to use your own peripherals, the iMac box contains everything you need to use it effectively.

Being a fairly new Mac, this iMac can be equipped with macOS Monterey, the latest operating system offered by Apple. The hardware may be a bit dated, but if you download the updates, you can enjoy features such as Universal Control (use mouse and keyboard on multiple Apple devices), new shortcut applications, AirPlay to Mac, and more.
