Update: Does the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE make sense?
And there's another leak on the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE rumor list, this time with possible details on color, price, and chipset
These were revealed thanks to Roland Quandt of WinFuture He also shows off the available colors and offers another batch of what appear to be official renderings of the phone
These colors (as seen at the top of this page) are black, white, lavender, and green, which we have been informed about for some time While the exact shades differ from other leaked information, the basic S21-style shape remains the same, as does the supposedly all-plastic construction of the back panel
However, one color may be missing from this list Although not shown in this image, there are rumors of a navy blue S21 FE Therefore, this color could be limited to certain regions, or it could appear as a mid-life update, giving the phone a further boost
The article mentions that the chipset of the S21 FE is an Exynos 2100, at least in the version seen by Quandt This makes sense since the European version of the Galaxy S21 series also used this chip instead of the Snapdragon 888 found in the US version of the S21, and there are rumors that the S21 FE will be a Europe-only phone, leaving US smartphone buyers without the opportunity to get this supposedly high-priced device have lost the opportunity to get their hands on this supposedly high-priced handset However, other rumors suggest otherwise
Other leaked information suggests different internal specifications for some versions The chipset may actually be a Snapdragon 888, and only 6GB RAM may be available on some models
Quandt claims that the Galaxy S21 FE will start at €649 (at least in Germany), which is roughly the same price the Galaxy S20 FE sold for at launch Therefore, we can assume that the S21 FE will again be around $699/£599 for UK and US buyers If there is a US version [This is not as much as the $300/£300 between the S20 FE and the Galaxy S20, but it is still a well worthwhile discount for buyers who want some, but not all, of Samsung's flagship phone experience
The Galaxy S21 FE has been rumored to be coming for several months, but various engineering and logistical issues have reportedly pushed back the release date more and more Samsung now appears to have settled on a January release for the phone, which could push the Galaxy S22 release date to February 2022
Other spec leaks of the phone were quite comprehensive The phone appears to be 64 inches in size, larger than the S21 but smaller than the S21 Plus The camera appears to consist of a 32 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, an 8 MP telephoto sensor, and a 32 MP selfie camera; the S21 FE is said to have a 4,370 mAh battery with a 25 W charge capacity, but it does not appear to include a charger
