Microsoft announced that Game Pass members will get unique monthly perks in the multiplayer mode of Halo Infinite. The first perk is titled "Pass Tense" and includes an Xbox green coated MA40 assault rifle, four 2XP boosts, and four challenge swaps. The Pass Tense bundle will launch on December 8, the same day the Halo Infinite single-player campaign and will be available on December 8, the same day as the launch of the Halo Infinite single-player campaign.

Halo Infinite's multiplayer has been a huge success so far, not only hitting 270,000 concurrent players on Steam, but also receiving very positive reviews from fans.

What makes Halo Infinite's multiplayer stand out is its free-to-play nature. Unlike other multiplayer Xbox titles, Halo Infinite does not require Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass memberships. It also supports cross-play, so PC gamers can play with their Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S friends.

Halo Infinite's Battle Pass may need some tweaking. This is a system for players to level up within "Infinite". Unlike other systems that simply look at kill-death ratios or the number of wins a player has, Battle Pass requires players to level up by completing certain tasks or playing certain modes. Tasks may include killing a certain number of players with a certain gun or playing a certain game type. Also, progression is terribly slow. This is the disadvantage that phone editor Jordan Palmer gave to multiplayer in Halo Infinite, so it's no surprise that 343 Industries is already pushing for drastic changes to the battle path system.
