Finding restocks of the Xbox Series X is hard, and finding an available console is even harder to get. But there may be light at the end of the tunnel: after a quiet week of Xbox Series X restocks, retailers may be preparing new restocks.

We're here to help by tracking the latest Xbox Series X and Series S restocking rumors, tips, and drops. as of 5:03 a.m. ET on April 7, there is no restocking of the Xbox Series X. GameStop had a Tuesday afternoon, the Series S was in stock, but sold out within minutes. Nevertheless, it is expected that the Xbox Series X will be restocked this week. If you want to be the first to know when the Xbox Series X restocks, check the following Twitter accounts for updates. In particular, we recommend following "Xbox Series X|S Stock Alerts" and "Wario64". The latter account tracks both Xbox restocking and general game sales.

Although not always up-to-date, following the Twitter feeds of retailers such as Best Buy and GameStop is also a good rule of thumb: if you're looking to restock the Xbox Series X, it's important to get as much advantage as possible.

Microsoft's new console is flying off the shelves, and for good reason: our review of the Xbox Series X praised its underwhelming performance, nimble load times, and comprehensive backward compatibility with all generations of Xbox. And, as we noted in our review of the Xbox Series S, for users with 1080p TVs, the less expensive next-generation Xbox can offer many of the same excellent features.

With this in mind, see below for the latest Xbox Series X inventory update and tips for getting the new Microsoft console.

In addition to updating your retailer's website, here are some other tips to increase your chances of getting an Xbox Series X. Additionally, there are online channels where you can check to see when it will be available.

Twitter

On Twitter, we recommend following @Wario64. This handle is known for updating the latest deals and restocking information before anyone else.

Shopping Forums

Slickdeals, an online deal repository, has a forum thread dedicated to ordering the Xbox Series X through Microsoft. The thread is constantly being updated, so you can jump to the last page and click on updates to get the latest information on when the units will be available.

PopFindr

PopFindr is a site that checks the inventory of local retailers based on zip code. For example, you can check to see if your local Target store has the Xbox Series X in stock. Note, however, that even if the item is listed as being in stock, it may be out of stock by the time you arrive at the store.

It's also not a bad idea to create an account on Slickdeals and set up an alert for "Xbox Series X." You will receive an alert email whenever a new thread about inventory replenishment is started. However, we have found that sometimes Slickdeals does not email users fast enough. So it might be better to type "Xbox Series X" into the search bar and sort by new arrivals; check back several times a day, and you'll find that the newest and most recent Xbox Series X is the one you've been looking for.

CheapAssGamer is a long-running gaming information site that also has a forum thread dedicated to the Xbox Series X.

Facebook and Reddit

Facebook is also a good source of information; there are several Xbox Series X fan groups that keep up with the latest restocks. Feel free to join some of these groups.

We also encourage you to subscribe to the Xbox Series X subreddit. Of course, the majority of the page is dedicated to discussion and memes, but if users notice restocks, they will let the community know. For example, one user found the Xbox Series X in stock at a local Walmart, and others are discussing similar finds. Again, it appears that some Walmarts are stocking up to sell on Cyber Monday.

Wholesalers

Another retailer worth noting is subscription wholesalers like Costco, Sam's Club, and BJ's Wholesale Club. Because a paid account is required to gain access to these wholesalers, few people often jump on each other to find units. If you are not a subscriber to any of these retailers, ask a friend or family member.

Unfortunately, wholesalers tend to bundle additional games and accessories with new consoles. Therefore, you will likely have to pay more than the standard $500.

Check at specific times of the day

In general, retailers like to have inventory available at specific times of the day. The new Xbox Series X is most likely to be in stock at midnight EST on a given day. Check all retailers and you may be in luck.

Some other retailers prefer a time when customers are waking up, such as 7 a.m. ET, while others aim for noon to give everyone the best chance of finding a new Xbox Series X console.

If it's not in stock online, it may be worth going to a physical store. Bring your membership card or go with someone who has a membership. Also, be sure to wear a face mask (over the nose). If you can't find it in the store, you can buy a rotisserie chicken for at least $5.00 to go.

Unfortunately, there are no Xbox Series X deals available at this time. Demand for Microsoft's game console is so high and supply so low that retailers have no incentive to offer deals on the Xbox Series X. In fact, it is unlikely that there will be any Xbox Series X deals until the next major holiday, Prime Day. And even if Xbox Series X deals do appear, they are expected to be in the form of bundles or freebies rather than dollar-off discounts.

However, it is possible to score Xbox Series X deals on games and accessories; Amazon frequently has Xbox controllers and accessories on sale, and Best Buy often has multiple games on sale.

One of the reasons for the shortage of Xbox Series X and Series S inventory is that duffers buy up large quantities of next-generation game consoles and sell them at exorbitant prices.

VGC reported that a notorious PS5 duffer group called CrepChiefNotify bought up 1,000 units of the Xbox Series X as soon as it became available at UK retailer Very. In a twist of fate, however, Very cancelled the 1,000 Xbox Series X pre-orders, somewhat spoiling the scalpers' efforts.

As frustrating as it may be to find an Xbox Series X or Series S, we recommend avoiding buying a console from these scalpers; paying a large sum of money for a console that does not have a large amount of new Xbox Series X games is not a wise move, we We think it's not a wise move. If you can stomach it, Microsoft should be shipping more Xbox Series X units and more games exclusively for this console.
