Apple card will be more convenient with iOS145 - here's how

The Apple Card is a credit card that Apple introduced about two years ago There are no fees for the Apple Card, and the credit card integrates with the Wallet app on your phone, allowing you to easily track your spending One thing, however, is not good Since all family members cannot use the same Apple card, household spending cannot be managed through a single account

This situation will soon change as Apple is moving toward allowing family members to share a single Apple Card And the latest iOS 145 beta is further proof that this feature is coming soon

9to5Mac first discovered the possibility of an Apple Card Family feature back in February That release included code indicating that Apple Card owners would be able to share the same credit card with others in the family through iCloud family sharing

iOS 145 Beta 3 is currently available as part of the public beta version of Apple's iOS 14 and includes details on Apple Card Family This version suggests that there is an option to make someone a co-owner of an Apple Card or to limit spending only The former option would be ideal for a spouse or partner to check balances and spending

Currently, Apple's own Apple Card support documentation states that "only the account holder is currently eligible for Apple Card" and that if a family member or friend wants to use the card, they must apply for it themselves [The Apple Card is part of Apple's efforts in the services business to find new revenue streams beyond hardware launches This effort seems to be paying off for Apple, as the company posted record sales of $158 billion in its services division in the last holiday quarter

Apple clearly wants to maintain this growth; making Apple Card more attractive to families who want to manage their spending is clearly part of that strategy
