PS5 Replenishment Update today - Sony Direct, Target, Best Buy, Wal-Mart etc

Where to buy a PS5 is one of the trickiest questions of 2021, thanks to the $499 regular PS5 and $399 PS5 Digital Edition selling out across the U.S., as stock sells out in mere moments when they arrive.

Restocking of the PS5, however, is becoming more frequent as retailers bring in more inventory. So bookmark this page and keep it updated to increase your chances of finding a place to purchase a PS5.

As of 4:48 AM ET on February 22, no PS5 units were found available for purchase. As soon as inventory is found, this page will be updated.

Fortunately, one regular PS5 inventory tipster claims that millions more consoles will arrive each month through April. Until then, you can check the link below to see where you can purchase a PS5.

There is also some inventory relief for the PS5: according to Digitimes, Sony plans to ship between 16.8 and 18 million PS5 units in 2021. This is due to the increased supply of PS5. In contrast, Sony announced in its Q3 FY2020 financial results that it has shipped 4.5 million PS5 units since November 13, 2020.

One of the best ways to find out when PS5 inventory will arrive at online retailers is to follow Sony's Twitter account. We also recommend following Twitter accounts such as @PS5StockAlerts, @GYXdeals, @PS5Drop, and @Wario64. Availability also varies by region and may be limited to certain stores.

In any case, bookmark this page and check back regularly for a list of retailers.

Be prepared: When purchasing a PS5, be prepared with the details of the card you need to pay and how to do two-factor authentication. If you take the time to find a credit card, you may miss your chance to purchase a PS5.

Select a retailer: As you can see from the list above, there are many retailers where you can purchase a PS5, which makes the whole process of buying a PS5 a bit complicated. choose a few major retailers such as Walmart and Amazon and their PS5 landing page. We recommend that you pay attention to them.

Sign up for inventory alerts: Many retailers offer a service that will let you know when PS5 inventory will be available. It is recommended to sign up for the services of retailers that offer an inventory alert service.

Find the right product page: This may sound obvious, but make sure you are on the actual purchase page for the PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition. If you are on a landing page, you may miss out on new arrivals.

Sign in to your retailer: Be sure to sign in to any retailers with whom you already have an account. That way, if you find a PS5 on sale, you can buy it faster. Speed is the name of the game today.

Don't give up and keep refreshing: It can be a little demotivating trying to find PS5 inventory when it appears to be sold out everywhere. However, refresh the product page regularly and see what comes up. We'll also check back here when the PS5 inventory is updated.

Also, make a habit of checking Slickdeals, an online collection of deals on everything from consumer electronics to gaming consoles like the PS5. The website has several specific forum threads about the PS5 that users keep updated. If you follow these threads, go to the last page and keep refreshing to check for the latest news.

It is also a good idea to check out some of the subscription wholesaler retailers like Sam's Club, BJ's Wholesale Club, and Costco. You will need to become a paid member to shop at these retailers, but the competition to get units there is less. Bundling may require an additional fee, but it is worth checking these places out anyway. Currently, I can't check the online listings for these retailers, but it may be worth heading to each physical store to try your luck at this point.

In this console generation, finalizing the purchase of a next-generation console has been a fairly difficult process. However, with the holiday season fast approaching, it is likely that Sony will catch up with those who are considering purchasing the PS5 and make the PS5 available for additional purchase.

Unfortunately, one of the main reasons for the shortage of PS5 consoles is due to duffers. These opportunists use bots to scan retailers and purchase as many consoles as possible at once as PS5 inventory becomes available.

Once they have a very attractive console, they sell it at exorbitant prices, often for thousands of dollars; according to Business Insider, one reseller managed to acquire 200 PS5 consoles and sell them for over $40,000.

While this is not illegal, it is not the most morally sound practice. But at least it is not as malicious as the people who committed the fraud of pretending to sell PS5 consoles on eBay, posting pictures of the consoles, and getting people to bid on them even though no PS5s were listed.

It may seem silly to buy a PS5 for more than $1,000. But with the Coronavirus outbreak keeping more and more people indoors, it is clear that some PlayStation fans are desperate to get a new console to enjoy.

Fake or not, avoid buying from such resellers; at $499, the PS5 is still a fairly expensive console and does not currently have a huge game library. Therefore, if you can wait until later this year, you will likely have a larger selection of PS5 games to choose from, and Sony should have more games available.
