LG's connected 2030 self-driving car is the coolest thing in CES2020

Imagine this As you approach an automated electric car, it automatically recognizes you through facial recognition Then, as you enter the car, you see four plush chairs with a dedicated speaker system The colors above your seat flash on a giant curved OLED screen

Then the real fun begins

LG's connected self-driving car, the result of a partnership between LG and Adient, looks like something out of "Minority Report," and according to LG, this webOS-powered concept car may not hit the market until 2030, but the It was a thrill to check out the inside of this futuristic car

Right next to the seats is a swivel controller with voice input and touchscreen that allows you to adjust the seat as you like (including tilting it up to the backrest)

There is also a tablet that swings up from the floor, complete with a privacy display, other passengers cannot see what you are doing

Ahead of you (above the heads of the two passengers sitting across from you) is a large OLED screen that gives you several ways to pass the time on your way to your destination

An eight-speaker sound system built into the curve above your seat allows you to play music that only you can hear You can also watch movies and TV shows, or continue watching your favorite shows from home This is thanks to LG's AI and cloud technology

What if the person next to you doesn't want to watch your show? The OLED screen can be digitally split in two

If you feel a little thirsty, just touch a sensor and a rolling snack cart will appear between the seats And if you decide to grab a can of soda, the motion sensors in the car will detect it and automatically charge it to the payment card you used to reserve your ride (There is also a roll-out dry-cleaning machine in the car, in case you need to freshen up your blazer or other garments on the way to your next meeting Just hang it up and it's ready to go

I know what you're thinking Can you see the road ahead? Yes, you can see it via an augmented reality (AR) view that can be activated on the OLED screen This view can also display traffic information

Now, a lot needs to happen between 2020 and 2030 for LG's connected self-driving car concept to become a reality However, if there are fun distractions in this vehicle, there will be no need to be nervous about getting from point A to point B
