Forget the Galaxy Ford: The Galaxy Z Flip looks smoother than the Motorola Razr in its new rendering

I don't know much about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (aka Bloom, aka Galaxy Fold 2), but the renderings provided to LetsGoDigital by 3D artist Giuseppe Spinelli look great Better than the Motorola Razr The chin is cute, but I'd prefer it without

So far, the only thing we know (allegedly) about Samung's second foldable phone (codenamed "Bloom") is that it will be officially named the Galaxy Z Flip We have only seen a blurry photo taken at the CES 2020 presentation (also allegedly) and a few photos leaked by Wang Benhong Based on those photos and the current Galaxy Fold design language, Spinelli created these polished renderings

Other than what we saw in these images, there are not many technical details about the Galaxy Z Flip

Only two things are (almost) certain from the supposedly leaked photos: one is that it will have a small external display used for time and notifications, like the Razr; the other is that it will have a small display for the time and notifications

The second is that there will be a new hinge design different from the Galaxy Fold, called the "hide away hinge" In theory, this new design makes the screen fold disappear when the phone is folded - again like the Razr If confirmed, this would be a welcome change from the current Fold design, which remains awkwardly open even when folded The Galaxy Z Flip, in theory, shuts flush

Mysmartprice claims that the Galaxy Z Flip will feature a Snapdragon 855 chip and a 10 megapixel front-facing camera The former makes sense, as this phone is all about style and convenience And it will compete with Razr's $1,500 Snapdragon 710 This is a significantly inferior mid-range processor, whereas the 855 is still top-of-the-line silicon

When it comes to price, LetsGoDigital speculates that the Galaxy Flip will compete with the Razr, which also makes sense However, as some rumors suggest, it seems unlikely that this futuristic technology will go below $1,500 Samsung will have to compete heavily with Motorola's product, which has already captured mindshare of the entire Internet

We will find out soon enough, as Samsung will likely unveil the Galaxy Z Flip at an Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 11
