Build-A-Bear's Baby Yoda toy, available soon Build-A-Bear has announced that its Baby Yoda plush toys, the adorable character from Disney Plus' "The Mandalorian," will be available in stores in the coming months
Sharon Price John, CEO of Build-A-Bear, announced the news at the ICR conference in Orlando, Florida, where she showed off the Baby Yoda toy to the audience
"We are excited to share that we will be one of the first companies to offer a digital and Internet phenomenon that is trending higher than all the presidential candidates combined John said," Business Insider reported
"We started this process almost from the very first episode," she noted It is unclear if there will be customization options available to create your own Baby Yoda, but that little teacup really should be a free upgrade
Demand for Baby Yoda toys has been through the roof since the irrepressibly cute character debuted in Disney Plus' Mandalorian in November Disney initially did not release any merchandise, ostensibly to avoid ruining Baby Yoda's existence (or perhaps simply failing to do so)
Instead, fans had to make do with simple official Disney tote bags, t-shirts, or handmade Etsy items They could also pre-order a stuffed Baby Yoda doll from Mattel, a talking Baby Yoda doll from Hasbro, or a Funko POP! figure
Most of these Baby Yoda toys will not be available until spring 2020, the same window as the debut of the Build-A-Bear plush toys
