Xbox Series X looks dead gorgeous in this new video

The more I look at the Xbox Series X, the more it seems like the second coming of the monolith in Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey It is just gorgeous and imposing In this video, we show it in all its minimalist glory

Based on yesterday's leak, this video was created by Swiss 3D artist Giuseppe Spinelli (aka Snorrain) for LetsGoDigital He obtained leaked photos and official Microsoft images to create this accurate and realistic 3D model

The Xbox Series X brilliantly straddles the line between overly simple design and sharp minimalism, a monolithic package that screams "power" like the Cray supercomputers of yesteryear: straight lines, vertical orientation, and a look like subtle accents like the green glow behind the heat-emitting grating, as if it were a weapon to unleash Armageddon or destroy Superman (or PS5) with a CPU made of Kryptonite

Video renderings show what we already knew from photos and promotional images On the front: disk drive with eject button, USB port, power button and status light On the back: two USB ports, Ethernet port, HDMI output, TOSlink for optical audio output to connect to an AV receiver, power plug, Kensington lock, and a mysterious rectangular port

We still don't know what the PS5 will look like (maybe we'll find out next month), but it seems hard for Sony's team to go beyond this unique angle for a gaming console

And after all, while price, power, and exclusive games are important in the race for the next-generation console crown, design also plays a psychological factor: the Xbox Series X is an object you'd like to have on display in your home, and the PS5's design is a perfect example of that
