Twitter has made it easier to thread tweets: Here's how to do this

Twitter is slowly but surely getting easier to use We recently introduced the easier mute feature, and today we get a new feature that allows users to easily create threads (a series of tweets that reply to each other and tell a longer story)

Currently, anytime you want to thread a new tweet as a reply to an old tweet, you have to pull up your profile and search around As annoying as the flood of Galaxy Note S20 rumors I see online, I'm not interested at all

Thankfully, a new option to thread tweets is built into the Create New Tweet window This way, you can always start with a blank slate and decide where you want to go later This feature will be introduced in the iOS Twitter app (no word yet on when it will be introduced on Android phones)

The new way of tweeting (announced in a tweet) is not perfect, though Frequent tweeters (I'm one of them) may not be able to find the tweet they are looking for in the drop down field

How can we make it better? Yes, a search field here would make it easier to search for old tweets

Anyway, enough of my nitpicking, here's how to use Twitter's new threaded tweets:

1 While writing a tweet, pull it down from the top of the screen

2 If you want that tweet, tap Continue Thread However, you may need a slightly older tweet Tap the button

3 Tap the tweet you want to reply to

4 When ready, tap Tweet to post!
