PS5Pro tilted to launch with PS5- and Xbox Series X should be worried

When the PS5 arrives this holiday season, it may come with a more powerful big brother. Sony's super-powerful PS5 is expected to arrive as early as this year.

The latest PS5 Pro rumor comes from NeoGAF user VFXVeteran (via TweakTown), who noted that there are "two consoles per company," referring to both the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

This user states that the base PS5 will offer 9 teraflops (TFLOPS) of GPU power and the PS5 Pro will be "top of the line to compete with the XSX top dog." This explains the conflicting rumors about the PS5, which has been reported in previous reports to offer an astounding 9 to 14 TFLOPS VFXVeteran predicts that both versions of the PS5, PS5 Pro, and the new Xbox will all be released at the same time, with the top model costing 600 They speculate that it will be more than $600.

The PS5 Pro will not be a complete surprise. Sony and Microsoft released the PS4 Pro in late 2016 and the Xbox One X a year later in 2017, with higher-end versions midway through the life cycle of this generation of consoles.

However, this is the first time Sony and Microsoft have announced both versions of a console at once, much like a smartphone announcement. Just as cell phone fans can choose between the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra, both game console makers may want to allow players to choose how much power they want from the start.

Sony has yet to fully announce the PS5, but rumors point to a possible March launch event. Microsoft has already released specs for the Xbox Series X, but by E3 2020, more details about this gaming console, including its rumored smaller sibling, will be revealed.
