Apple has pushed a new iOS 134 software update for the iPhone and iPad
The update, which is now being distributed to users, is available for any device running iOS 13 (iPhone 6S or later, iPod Touch 7th generation, iPadOS 13 (iPad Air 2 or later, iPad 5th generation or later, iPad Mini 4 or later, all iPad Pro models) As Apple showed with the new iPad Pro 2020, all iPads that can download iPadOS 134 can take full advantage of the new mouse support feature The iPad Pro will also be available in May with an optional Magic Keyboard with trackpad that supports this new feature
iOS 134 and iPadOS 134 now allow users to share iCloud folders with others on the iPhone and iPad, and within the Files app on MacOS You can invite specific users, create shareable links, and allow or deny editing of files within a folder
The App Stores for iOS/iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS used to be completely separate, and apps purchased from one App Store could not be used on different devices However, Apple now allows app makers to create "Universal Purchase" bundles, allowing the same app to be purchased once on all Apple devices
It is up to developers to implement this iOS 134 and iPad OS 134 benefit, but it is expected that this will make purchasing apps for multiple Apple operating systems and transferring files between them much simpler than before
Drivers who are not Apple Maps loyalists may have noticed that when they connect their iPhone to their car through CarPlay, their preferred navigation apps are not available However, iOS 134 allows you to connect your favorite mapping apps to your car, including Google Maps, Waze, and Citymapper
