Xbox Series X games will be revealed soon - Your Move, PS5

Microsoft Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that Xbox Series X game announcements are not far off. However, he did not reveal when a large number of next-generation games will be announced.

Spencer said on Twitter that Microsoft's next big plan for the Xbox Series X is to talk about games coming to the new console. Currently, we only know about a handful of Xbox Series X games, including "Halo Infinite," "Cyberpunk 2077," and "Watch Dogs Legion."

"I have never been more excited about Xbox's plans," Spencer tweeted. 'We've heard your call for transparency/authenticity. We're going to keep showing that, the next step is to not wait too long (for the game)."

Other than teasing short trailers for "Halo Infinite" and "Senua's Saga: Hellblade II," Microsoft has focused most of its Xbox Series X buzz around console design and hardware. Nevertheless, this is more than Sony, which only announced PS5 specs and performance, as well as the DualSense controller.

Microsoft showed off the look of the Gears 5 running on Xbox Series X hardware with improved visuals and resolution. However, we are still waiting for a proper showcase of the game that takes advantage of the ray-tracing capabilities and 12 teraflops of processing power under the Xbox Series X's block-shaped chassis.

With Microsoft's Xbox Game Studios home to such notable developers as Obsidian, we can expect Microsoft's announcement of games for the Xbox Series X to include exclusive titles that will set it apart from the PS5. senua's Saga: Hellblade II and Halo Infinite will be Xbox exclusives, but expect Microsoft's Xbox division to have more titles in the works.

There are also multiplatform games, such as the aforementioned "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Watch Dogs Legion," that will be released on both Microsoft and Sony's next-generation consoles. We are eager to see what the Xbox Series X can do with these games. We have already seen footage of "Observer: System Redux" running on the PS5, showing off visuals that are greatly enhanced over the original game. We hope that Microsoft will also show us areas where their console might have an advantage.

Since the Xbox Series X will have extensive and easy-to-use backward compatibility features, please explain how far Microsoft will extend this feature: will it be extended only to Xbox One S and Xbox 360 games, or will it also include titles from the original Xbox catalog? Will it include titles from the original Xbox catalog?

E3 2020 was supposed to be Microsoft's big Xbox and game showcase, but was cancelled thanks to the coronavirus outbreak. However, the Xbox Series X launch is scheduled to take place in May, so perhaps we will see a big presentation from Microsoft there.
