Are you expecting Halo Infinite at the Xbox Series X event? We have bad news

If you thought Microsoft's Xbox Series X event this week was going to be a proper showcase of "Halo Infinite" game footage, prepare to be disappointed. Microsoft is expected to show off only next-generation games from third-party developers on May 7.

Following a tweet from the official Xbox account, Aaron Greenberg, Microsoft's general manager of Xbox game marketing, announced that an Xbox Series X game reveal event will be held this week, where "partners" will show off their next-generation console's He tweeted that they will be showing off their gameplay. Microsoft plans to hold its own showcase later in the summer.

This is not to say that "Halo Infinite" will not be an Xbox Series X launch title. It just means that we won't get to see the game in person on May 7. This will be a bit of a disappointment for Halo fans, as next-generation Halo gameplay was one of the things they were hoping to see at the first Xbox Series X game showcase.

"This show is intended as a typical pre-E3 beat and first look at Xbox Series X gameplay from our partners," Greenberg further explained on Twitter.

"We'll have plenty to share this summer and into the holidays.

So it looks like Microsoft is staggering the release of the next generation of games somewhat. This is probably because developers were working to announce their games at E3 2020 in June before the Coronavirus outbreak caused E3 2020 to be canceled. Some developers may have game footage to unveil around June, but the May event may have been too early

Which games will we see: the Xbox Series X's Assasin's Creed Valhalla Valhalla) will be shown at the May 7 event, and we can expect to see how bloodthirsty Viking warriors mix with the clandestine nature of a secret guild of assassins.
