While we wait for Sony to show us what the PS5 console will look like, fans are wasting no time in offering their own suggestions with unique concepts. While the designs presented here do not appear to be that accurate to the final product, they are certainly the most imaginative we have seen so far.

The design comes from the YouTube account of PlayStation enthusiasts at VRPlayer (via Notebookcheck) in France, who have created the following slick trailer.

The most striking difference between this design and others we have seen is undoubtedly the overall shape. Whereas most PS5 concepts stick to something resembling a rectangle, this concept carves Sony's new console into the shape of an arched keystone, or "taco," as one Reddit commenter put it.

Using a white design with black accents and blue LED lighting (like the DualSense controller we have already seen), this design also has the controller symbol carved into the casing.

Also unfamiliar is the removable cooling lid. Removing the central panel of this imaginary PS5 reveals an additional blue LED-illuminated fan. It is unclear what purpose this serves, but given that it is illuminated, it appears that the designers intended for the fan to be visible.

The concept also imagines redesigned PSVR gear, including both a headset and controller, which is here because of rumors of a new generation of Sony's virtual reality system coming with the PS5.

If you're not a fan of the white-based design, VR4Player is also available in all-black and Spider-Man Red options. This will be a popular option, as Sony has given gaming consoles specialized reskins in the past and is eagerly awaiting the release of a Spider-Man game on the next-generation PS5.

We are hoping that Sony will finally release more details at an event this month and that we will actually see the PS5 in action; we will get our first look at Xbox Series X games at a special live-stream event on May 7. Both models are then expected to debut this November, bringing gamers speedy loading times, 8K support, ray tracing, and other enhancements.
