The Alienware Aurora R11 can basically be anything you want it to be With plenty of options for memory, storage, and graphics, this powerful desktop can run all your favorite games at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second (or higher)
Whatever your choice, the Aurora R11 looks like a gorgeous system, with a striking cylindrical design, a clean internal layout, and more ports than a single gamer could ever fit in Armed with a 10th generation Intel Core processor, an Nvidia or AMD GPU, and the possibility of a second graphics card, the Aurora R11 is perfect for both new PC gamers who feel uncomfortable building their own system, and veteran gamers who want to buy a finished one now and upgrade later It is also worth a look for veteran gamers who want to buy a complete system now and upgrade it later
Here is what we know so far about R11
Like many mainstream gaming PCs, the Alienware Aurora R11's price will vary depending on the type of parts it contains: the default configuration, which will be available on May 13, will cost $1,130 However, if one can wait until May 28, a cheaper configuration will be available for $880 Dell has not revealed exactly what hardware will be included in each configuration However, based on similarly priced PCs currently on the market, we would expect the default configuration to be capable of playing games in Quad HD resolution, with an SSD for the OS and a standard hard drive for gaming storage Less expensive models will probably run games at 1080p and may have only one hard drive
Of course, it would be possible to design a more expensive machine, but we do not know exactly how much it would cost From some of the hardware involved (dual GeForce RTX 2080 Ti GPUs, 2 TB SSD, 64 GB RAM, and other options), it would not be at all impossible to build a machine for over $3,000, but we will soon know for sure
Here's a quick one: the Alienware Aurora R11 is available in standard configuration as of May 13 and will be available in customizable configurations on May 28; if the $1,130 price tag is a bit too high, an $880 model will also It will be available on the market
Users will have about a half-dozen choices each when selecting a processor, RAM, storage, and GPU For each category, we list the least powerful and most powerful options, but keep in mind that there are at least three or four levels in between:
There is a considerable range from low to high, and we expect prices to reflect those options
Most of them will be available in the middle of the market
For the most part, the Alienware Aurora R11 is very similar to the Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition It has a cylindrical enclosure with a tasteful LED strip on the front No tools seem to be needed to open the enclosure, and everything inside is organized and spacious Near the back of the machine is an illuminated Alienware logo, and the Aurora R11 is available in black or white enclosures
Alienware's Aurora R11 has ports for connecting just about anything On the front, there are three USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and a 35 mm jack for audio and microphone inputs On the back are ten more USB ports, an Ethernet port, various audio ports (including optical out), HDMI and DisplayPort, depending on the GPU type
Tom's Guide will have a more definitive view of the Aurora R11 after we get it for review, but at this point it looks like a gorgeous and highly customizable machine At this point, however, it appears to be a gorgeous and highly customizable machine
