However, Sony has stated that the PS5 will have a custom edition, offering an alternative to the current two-tone design. All it took was for Giuseppe Spinelli to work with LetsGoDigital to create a concept rendering of a black PS5.

Spinelli's design, dubbed the "PS5 Black Edition," is essentially a reimagining of the PS5 in a black color scheme, with no hint of a two-tone finish. The only difference is the blue lighting around the PS5's air vents, which, like the PS4's light strip, turns orange when the PS5 is in energy-saving mode.

The black finish also makes the vertical edges of the PS5 look less ostentatious, as they undoubtedly do on vanilla consoles, although they seem to serve no purpose other than to trap the dust that inevitably collects around TVs and entertainment devices.

The all-black color scheme also means that the cooling ports stand out more when illuminated. I don't know if this is necessarily something to rave about, but it may appeal to those who like such features on a sports car like the Lamborghini.
