When it comes to iPads, the iPad Air is the quiet most popular. Thanks to Apple's speedy A12 Bionic processor, it's faster than a regular iPad and much more affordable than the iPad Pro. And thanks to the best iPad deals of 2020, it's even cheaper than ever.

Amazon currently has the Apple iPad Air (64GB) for $429.99 - but don't be confused if you see a higher price when you click the link above. For some reason, Amazon is only showing about half of the discount up front: look for the green text "Save $39.01 at checkout" to double check.

The deal only applies to the silver and space gray versions of the 64GB iPad Air (2019), one of the best tablets; in addition to a faster processor (compared to the 10.2-inch iPad), the larger 10.5-inch display and regular iPad s 1.2MP front camera (not suited for zoom or FaceTime), as well as a 7MP FaceTime HD front camera.

The iPad Air's A12 Bionic chip outperformed the iPad's A10 Fusion processor in the Geekbench 5 overall benchmark, eclipsing the iPad's 1,429 with a score of 2,519.

The iPad Air's Retina display is not only larger than the iPad, but also produces more colors, producing 132% of the sRGB spectrum, surpassing the iPad's 105%. It also outperformed the 9.7-inch iPad's 119%.

Also, despite the iPad Air having a slightly larger screen than the iPad, its battery life is comparable. In our battery test, the iPad Air used up a full charge in 11 hours and 54 minutes, slightly less than the iPad's 11 minutes and 58 seconds.
