Ubisoft Forward has come to an end, and what we learned was pretty simple: while Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin's Creed Valhalla are still Ubisoft's mainstays for the year, the futuristic battle royale Hyper Scape" will also be playable soon. With "Far Cry 6" also in the works (in case you didn't hear about last week's leak), Ubisoft's mobile games continue to be, well, mobile games.

And don't worry if you joined for the free distribution of Watch Dogs 2: Ubisoft's login servers aren't working for anyone, and the company will be giving away free copies in the near future. We don't know exactly how, but if you stay tuned to Ubisoft's support Twitter account, you should hear something soon.

The biggest story of the Ubisoft Forward was Watch Dogs: Legion. This open-world stealth game takes place in a near-future London where techno-fascism is on the rise and civilians and hackers team up to liberate the city.

Tom's Guide was able to get hands-on with "Watch Dogs: Legion" last week, so check out our preview for more on the game. The trailer and gameplay segments that Ubisoft showed off were quite similar to what we were able to play.

But we also got some great news from Phil Spencer, head of Xbox. Watch Dogs: Legion is compatible with Microsoft's Smart Delivery program, which allows those who purchased the game on Xbox One to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version for free later this year. The game will be available for current-gen consoles on October 29, with a next-gen version to follow shortly thereafter.

Ubisoft had already teased the futuristic battle royale game Hyper Scape, and today we finally got the full trailer and technical deep dive. The multiplayer shooter pits a wide variety of heroes against each other on a digital battlefield called Crown Rush.

The content goes like this: years later, the real world is inhospitable and bleak, and people choose to spend most of their time in colorful, vibrant datascapes, competing in a popular game called Crown Rush. But something fishy is going on in the game, and players are competing against each other to solve the mystery.

Hyperscape seems to have a fairly standard battle royale setup, dropping a large number of players onto the battlefield and having them fight with a variety of weapons and tools. Each player also has access to "hacks," which turn datascapes into special skills, such as teleporting or transforming into a giant bouncing ball.

The game is currently in open beta on PC, so those interested in checking it out can visit Ubisoft's website.

Taking place two years after the previous Assassin's Creed game and moving from ancient Greece to medieval England, Assassin's Creed Valhalla stars Eivor, a Viking warrior trying to help his clan settle in a new country. You get the idea: there's stealth, there's combat, there's a meticulously researched story that mixes historical facts with science fantasy "what if" scenarios.

Tom's Guide had an extensive hands-on with "Assassin's Creed Valhalla" and covered much of the same information that Ubisoft Forward shared. The title looks promising, especially for those who wanted to revisit England after the well-received Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

The only new major game we heard about at Ubisoft Forward was Far Cry 6, which technically leaked a while back, but at least now we can see the full trailer.

Giancarlo Esposito plays a Latin American dictator who teaches his son the "necessity" of limiting the freedom of his people. It's very ambitious, but we haven't seen any gameplay yet, so it seems safe to say that more details about the game will be revealed in the coming months.
