Xbox Series X Release Date Leaked — Thanks to Sega

A series of official announcements and leaks have gradually revealed the Xbox Series X release date.

Sega's "Yakuza: For the latest news, Sega's "Ryu ga Gotoku Restoration! would like to thank the following. According to the press release for this title, this Japanese crime-action game will be released on the Xbox Series X launch date (via TechRadar). And we know what that date will be.

The game's Microsoft Store page indicates that the game will be released on November 13. Thus, combining these two facts, it seems likely that the Xbox Series X will also debut on November 13.

Of course, this date could change, as there are still a few months until the launch. But even if the difference is only a week or two, this seems like a credible launch date for the new Xbox.

According to yesterday's report, the Xbox Series X controller container has a sticker on it that reads, "Do not sell or display before November 6, 2020." This is exactly one week before November 13, perhaps a slightly timed release worldwide, or perhaps the release date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be moved up. The press release does not mention a specific date.

The launch of Microsoft's next generation of game consoles may not be limited to the Xbox Series X alone. Ongoing leaks claim the existence of a less expensive Xbox Series S, which, along with the Series X, would be an entry-level next-generation console option.

If the Xbox is to be released around early to mid-November, the PS5 could be released not too far away or even a little earlier. Analysts predict that Sony's new console may be more expensive than the Xbox. It will also be slightly inferior with respect to GPU specs, and its backward compatibility with past PlayStation games will not be as robust as the Xbox Series X. The custom SSD promises super-fast loading of games, and the combination of 3D audio and the haptic feedback of the DualSense controller should increase player immersion. There are also promising titles like "Spider-Man: Miles Morales," "Horizon: Forbidden West" and "Gran Turismo 7. This holiday should be a pretty interesting console war, so expect more big leaks and announcements in the coming months.
