Fortnite may not be available on iOS and Android for a little while longer, but it will at least be on the PS5 and Xbox Series X this fall. We still don't know exactly when these two new consoles will launch, but a recent post teasing new Fortnite content theoretically points to a deadline.

The Fortnite: The Last Laugh Bundle will allow players to don the pinstriped suit and unnaturally full smile of Batman's nemesis, the Joker, on November 17, and the developer has hinted that this content will be available in retail stores before the PS5 and Xbox Series X launch and hints that it will be available at retailers before the PS5 and Xbox Series X launch.

The information comes from a blog post by Epic Games' The Fortnite Team. Overall, the post has little to do with the PS5 or Xbox Series X, but instead is about Fortnite's partnership with DC Comics and the return of Batman, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn skins to the game. The Joker will also make his first appearance in a bundle called "The Last Laugh," which will be released on November 17.

"The retail version of The Last Laugh is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One." It will also be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X next-gen consoles." The post explains.

To summarize the two pieces of information as simply as possible: The Last Laugh will be released on November 17. The developer explained that the game will be released in conjunction with the launch of the next generation of game consoles. Thus, it will be released on November 17 or later. Since game consoles generally launch on Fridays, and we already know that the Xbox Series X will launch in November, the Xbox launch date is likely to be either November 20 or November 27; the PS5 is a little more difficult to pinpoint, since Sony has not specified a launch month.

Of course, there are other ways to interpret this short blog post. The post does not specify whether the November 17 date for The Last Laugh is physical, digital, or both. If it is a digital pre-release, the physical copies may not hit store shelves until much later. Furthermore, "in time" does not necessarily mean "the moment the console is released"; even if PS5 and Xbox Series X gamers have to wait a week or two to get their hands on a physical copy of The Last Laugh, that still leaves the Fortnite DLC and within the release window of the console itself.

In any case, if you're interested in The Last Laugh bundle, it includes "Joker's Costume, Laugh Riot Back Bling, Bad Joke Pickaxe, The Joker's Revenge Pickaxe, Pick a Card Emote" and 1, 000 000 V-Bucks will be included. However, no price is listed yet.
